Take Your Vertical Storage Even Further

Sliding console
Convenient movable operator console. The sliding Copilot option helps the operator during intense picking operations. The Copilot can be moved close to the picking point, making the operation easier and more efficient.

Robot interface
Modula VLMs can interface with anthropomorphous robots. This is done through the Modula WMS, which includes an interface with a software communications protocol based on direct memory access to the robot’s PLC.

Put-to-Light
Improve picking performance with lighted indicators enabling operators to increase the number of order lines that can be processed at one time. The put-to-light system allows you to define as many picking zones and you like.

Piece counting scale
Quickly count multiple items by weighing them. The piece counting scale determines the number of items placed on its platform, based on the unit weight of each individual piece, when the items are identical.

Partitions, dividers & More
Define additional storage areas within trays to improve organization. For a clearer arrangement of materials inside the trays, VLM partitions and dividers can be used to subdivide them into compartments of various sizes.

Barcode readers
Barcode readers are often used when the items picked from or placed into a warehouse have complex part numbers or are different to distinguish. The use of barcodes improves picking accuracy and assures correct goods selection.

External picking monitor
An additional visual picking aid to guide operators. This external picking monitor, mounted on top of the piking bay displays a picture of the item, the order number, and quantity as well as the type of operation.

Modula's Intuitive Picking Solutions

Modula Picking Station
To handle batch or multiple order processes, the Picking Station keeps everything moving. Use one or several at predetermined put positions. A flexible and accurate way to process more orders in less time.

Modula Picking Cart
The Modula Picking Cart is the ideal picking solution for a paperless batch or multiple order processes where operations need more mobility with the put-to-light display and a wireless connection to the WMS.

Put-to-Light Display
Put to Light Systems indicate the location on a station or cart & the number of items needed for the order. Each time an item is slotted in the correct position, the user presses a confirmation button to indicate completion.

Laser pointer
Ready for laser fous? Point out exact item location within a tray. Adding an order-picking laser pointer is an effective way of boosting production and improving the accuracy of your operators.

Modula Picking App
Mobility in a warehouse is essential. The Modula Mobile Picking App is designed to streamline picking and replenishment operations in manual warehouses - right at your fingertips.

Alphanumeric LED bar
The alphanumeric LED bar provides additional information about a picking or placing operation, such as quantity, code, description of the items to pick/place and their position on the Y axis (depth) of the tray.
Upgrade Security with Access Control Options
- Badge Readers: Adds security through operator badge scan. The USB badge reader, which can be connected directly to the operator’s control console via the USB port, is an alternative to the login with username and password.
- RFID Readers: The Modula RFID Reader is a convenient way for operators to check-in and out. The RFID reader acts like a magnetic badge reader, but because of its signal processing there is no need to swipe a card.
- EKS Reader: The electronic keys are equipped with an internal tag consisting of a memory chip and a transponder antenna. There are no batteries to become depleted and in need of replacement.

Bay Options
- Magnetic Interlocking Device: Trays Magnetic Interlocking Device option has been designed for applications where the Modula Lift interfaces with robotic systems, such as AGVs and robots.
- External Bay Lighting: If the surrounding light is insufficient, the Modula can be fitted with an external LED light above the bay to provide adequate lighting for the picking area.
- Telescopic Internal Tray: Extract entire trays from the VLM for transportation The telescopic bay extends out of the VLM for easier loading and unloading, which can be useful with heavier objects.
- Tray Removal + Transportation Cart: This option, available for Lift internal bays, allows the operator to extract an entire tray from the VLM and place it on a moveable trolley. This is particularly useful for heavier loads.
- Automatic Door: The automatic closing door is a motor-driven device that provides greater security for the materials stored, keeping them inaccessible when the machine is off or unattended.

Put-To-Light
The Put-to-Light system enhances picking performance with illuminated indicators, boosting productivity by enabling operators to process multiple order lines simultaneously. It allows the definition of numerous picking zones, with each assigned a specific order by the Modula WMS. The system features 10-foot bars that power the lights, guiding operators on where and how much to pick and put. Each zone’s display uses three colors (amber, green, red) to correspond to different machines, indicating the items and quantities to be picked. The system supports both batch and multiple-order operations for flexible workflows.

Laser Pointer
The laser pointer system, operating on two axes, ensures precise identification of item locations within a tray. A red holographic laser line marks the X-axis (tray width), while a green laser line indicates the Y-axis (tray depth), pinpointing the exact item to be picked. This advanced feature boosts production efficiency and significantly improves picking accuracy, enabling operators to work more effectively and with fewer errors. Integrating the order-picking laser pointer into your workflow is a powerful way to enhance overall operational performance.

RFID
The Modula RFID Reader offers a convenient, contactless check-in and check-out solution for operators. Unlike traditional magnetic badge readers, it uses signal processing to authenticate wirelessly. Operators simply place their RFID-enabled badge near the reader, eliminating the need to swipe, ensuring a seamless and efficient authentication process each day.

Partition & Dividers
They are essential for creating additional storage areas within trays, ensuring a clear and organized arrangement of materials. Utilizing 0.78-inch slotted profiles, these components allow trays to be subdivided into various compartment sizes, with layouts easily adjustable as needed. Tray side panels can also be extended with wall extensions to increase compartment volumes or prevent spillage of loose materials and bulky items, enhancing overall storage efficiency and flexibility.
