High Yield Cannabis Grow Facility

One great example of a recent successful installation is a Cannabis Grow Facility in the San Fransisco Bay Area who needed to optimize their high-premium space to increase yield without expanding the size of their facility to one of a higher cost to run. The larger the space, the higher the cost. With these expenses in mind, our team collaborated with them to put our 45 years of experience to work on a new, innovative application.

Beyond real estate, there are many other considerations that had to be kept in mind. These included humidity and temperature as well as the need to give the plants ample space to receive proper lighting, air flow and, ultimately, grow into healthy plants. Tables needed to be 4 feet wide to allow staff to comfortably reach plants without straining while leaving enough room between to easily move through.

The company’s owner worked with our local consultant to design the ideal solution to their space-saving needs using ActivRAC. The ActivRAC Mobile System is designed for heavy duty industrial applications . and consists of shelving or pallet racking mounted on carriages that move along rails and on top of the floor.

Hydroponic Herbs in Manhattan

Restauranteurs are facing a new challenge, especially in big cities: consumers want fresh, locally sourced greens. This demand has seen an exponential increase over the last few years as consumers become more health and Earth conscious. Chefs want to serve meals with the finest, freshest ingredients – and they’re willing to pay top dollar.

With help from our consultants, one Manhattan entrepreneur devised a creative solution to cultivating year-round and cutting out the logistical challenges of transporting from farms and greenhouses on the country side. By turning a restaurant basement into a thriving hydroponic herb-growing business.

Called Farm.One, the hydroponic basement facility is able to produce between 100 to 200 different varieties of high-value herbs and micro-greens – year round. Seeking ways to eliminate wasted aisle space, CEO Robert Laing worked with our Manhattan based distributor to design the layout. The farm uses proprietary automated systems for lighting and irrigation, along with natural pest control methods to keep the plants healthy without artificial fertilizer or pesticides.
